Our cottage has been in the Cooney family for over 40 years. Our children love to enjoy the cottage to the fullest, and each year look forward eagerly to our own vacation stay. To us, the cottage is a little slice of heaven.

The Cottage has two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, the other with three twin beds (one is a bunk bed). The cottage has 1.5 baths, a large family room, a fully-stocked kitchen & a large screened in porch overlooking the water. Our rental season runs May through October. This waterfront cottage is located on Laurel Lake in Lenox MA, minutes to Tanglewood & Lenox village.

On a private, dead-end road in this lake front summer cottage is the perfect place for rest and relaxation. The bright & comfortable interior will greet you upon arrival. You will quickly fall in love with this homey cottage equipped with all the conveniences you expect. The screened porch affords panoramic views of the Berkshire hills & Laurel Lake. Just outside your door you will discover your own private beach, great for sunning, swimming, boating or just exploring. Back of cottage offers a sun/partial shade lawn, 20 steps to beach. Perennial gardens border a perfect setup for outdoor entertaining.

We are situated just 2.25 miles from the center of Lenox village and centrally located to all other Berkshire attractions such as Tanglewood.

This is an updated cottage with the necessary amenities. It has a full kitchen with sky-light. The comfortable family/dining room has a sky light, fieldstone fireplace with gas insert, and comfortable seating. Double windowed doors lead to a large screened-in porch, with wicker furniture, dining area and two-seat hammock, all over-looking the perennial gardens and lake.

The Private Beach

Our private beach is directly on the water, 20 steps from the cottage. Full sun all morning into afternoon, then partially shaded for early evening. Mature maples provides shady areas on the lawn. Two Kayaks and a canoe extend your vacation on the lake.

The Berkshires

The cottage is the perfect spot for canoeing/kayaking on a quiet lake, fishing, sunbathing or just relaxing in the hammock swing while enjoying the beautiful view. The Berkshires offer a wealth of activities and destinations for every taste. Lenox is at the center of the Berkshire cultural and recreational scene! We boast world renowned performance venues such as Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, Barrington Stage Company, Berkshire Theater Festival and Williamstown Theater Festival for live theater, to name a few. There are unlimited opportunities for hiking, boating, swimming, biking and bird watching. The highest point in Massachusetts, Mount Greylock, is just 30 minutes away. Gallery hopping, antiquing and shopping at small boutiques as well as outlets are popular pastimes. Superior restaurants, offering diverse cuisines are within minutes of this property!
